A few words for Marieta Angelakis
A 13 years old, who attends Marie Curie Junior High School of Bayside Queens. Marieta won
1st place in voice competitions at the Queens Music School. Among her many performances,
she has also appeared at Queens Theater in the past and has won 1st and 2nd place at the
Music Awards held at the Sheridon Hotel in Flushing. Also a member of the cretan
performing dance group (The Cretan Stars)
at H.A.C.A. of Long Island, and trains for voice and theory.
A few words for Eleni Sopasis
From Melville, a 14 years old, an honor student attending Walt Whitman High School, speaks
and writes fluent Greek. Eleni is also a member of combined performing dance groups, a
participant of Miss New York State Pre-Teen Pageant, and has won Miss New York
Hostess (public relations) of New York in 1996 through 1998. In 1997 she won Miss
Personality and Talent, which made her a participant for the Nationals, Winning 1st Place
for Talent, playing Moonlight Sonata on the piano, and 2nd place for best Actress.
Eleni has been performing piano for the past 8 years inclunding the madolin, violin and
the cretan lyra, and also composes her own music.
